Medical disclaimer

What the information on this site is for, and what it is not for.

General information only

The pages on this website describe fever, dengue, typhoid, malaria and viral fever in general terms. They are written to help you understand what may be happening and when to seek care. They are not a diagnosis, and they cannot replace examination by a doctor.

Two people with the same symptoms can have different illnesses. Only examination and, where needed, testing can tell them apart.

Do not delay care

Never delay seeing a doctor, or ignore advice a doctor has given you, because of something you read here.

In an emergency

Go to hospital immediately if you see

  • Bleeding from gums or nose
  • Blood in vomit or stool
  • Severe stomach pain that will not settle
  • Cannot keep any fluid down
  • Confusion, drowsiness, or very cold hands and feet
  • Severe breathlessness
  • Passing very little urine

Do not wait for a consultation and do not message us. Go to the nearest hospital. Sahyadri Hadapsar and Noble Hospital both have emergency departments.

Online consultations

An online consultation is limited by what can be assessed over video. It is suitable for advice, for interpreting reports and for follow-up. It is not suitable for emergencies or for conditions needing physical examination.

About the practitioner

Referral
