Malaria
Tested and treated the same day — at the clinic, or at your home.

Malaria has a pattern most other fevers do not. It comes in cycles: shaking chills, then high fever, then heavy sweating as the temperature falls — often at roughly the same time each day or every second day. That pattern is a strong clue, but it is not proof. A blood test confirms it, and confirmation matters because malaria treatment depends on which type it is.
Which day are you on?
Chills, then fever, then sweating. The timing of the cycle is itself diagnostic information — note when it happens.
A rapid antigen test gives a result in about twenty minutes and identifies the species. Vivax and falciparum need different drugs.
With the right antimalarial, fever usually breaks within 24 to 48 hours. If it does not, the diagnosis or the drug needs revisiting.
These indicate severe malaria — most often falciparum. It progresses quickly and needs hospital treatment. Go directly to Sahyadri Hadapsar or Noble Hospital.
[TO SUPPLY — blood collection in-house or partner lab, and report turnaround time]
Malaria treatment is specific and effective once the type is known. Fever usually breaks within 24 to 48 hours of the right drug.
Dr. Sayyed can treat you at home if you prefer, with follow-up testing to confirm the parasites are actually cleared.
Vivax leaves dormant parasites in the liver. A further course clears them. Skipping it is why some people get malaria again months later without a new mosquito bite. It is longer, and it is worth completing.
| Consultation — clinic or Google Meet | ₹199 |

| Home visit | from ₹700 |
The ₹199 consultation covers examination, diagnosis, and a clear plan — including what any treatment will cost. Treatment cost depends on the illness, how severe it is, and whether you are treated at the clinic or at home. Dr. Sayyed discusses it with you after examining the patient — never before. Quoting a figure without an examination would be a guess, and a fever is not something to guess about.
Fever usually breaks within 24 to 48 hours of starting the correct antimalarial. The full course runs longer, and with vivax malaria a further phase is needed to clear the liver stage.
Vivax malaria leaves dormant parasites in the liver. If the second phase of treatment is not completed, they reactivate weeks or months later without any new mosquito bite.
Uncomplicated malaria, yes. Dr. Sayyed treats patients at home within 6 km of Handewadi Road. Severe malaria, particularly falciparum, needs hospital care.
Vivax is more common and generally milder, but can relapse from the liver. Falciparum is more dangerous and can become severe quickly. They need different drugs, which is why identifying the type matters.
Consultation is ₹199 at the clinic or on Google Meet, and a home visit starts at ₹700. Treatment cost is discussed after Dr. Sayyed examines the patient.
